Tracy Dickson is an Assistant Manager in our Private Client team specialising in Trusts, Estates and Inheritance Tax whilst working across the broader team.
Based in our Glasgow office Tracy provides advisory and compliance services to individuals and families. She enjoys being able to help clients and provide them with advice to keep them compliant and ensure they are up to date with the ever changing and complex tax legislation.
“With all my clients I ensure that there’s always open lines of communication. That has to work both ways. I need to be available for them if they have any questions and I need to be able to keep them informed and up to date with their tax affairs.
They need to trust that the advice I provide is correct and in their best interest. Open communication is the way we build strong relationships with clients that have a strong foundation of trust and honesty.”
“No two clients are the same. Even if they have similar situations, they will be different. I enjoy getting to know my clients on a personal level. Getting to understand what their goals are and what they’re hoping to achieve. This helps me to deliver an amazing service and tailor my advice.
Tax can be a worrying and sensitive topic for some people, and I always want to ensure I can help people in the best way possible. Understanding them helps me and the wider team deliver an amazing, personalised service and delivering an amazing service means we can help them achieve their goals.”
“At AAB we have so many experts and specialists across the group. Being able to share that specialist knowledge throughout the firm to help our clients achieve their goals is exciting and inspiring. Everyone really does work together to use their strengths and expertise to ensure we can provide the best service and achieve the best results for our clients.
Within the Private Client team we also have teams of expertise. I sit on the IHT, Trusts and Estate team. These teams are a great way for us to share our knowledge, support each other and learn from leading experts across the AAB group.”
“One of the greatest challenges is the ever changing and evolving tax legislation. I always need to be on top of this and consider how the changes may impact my clients.
When providing advice to clients, there is always the uncertainty of changes which may occur in the future which we need to be mindful of. While this can be challenging, I feel that it keeps things interesting, and I enjoy continuing to learn and develop my skills and knowledge.”
“At AAB I really enjoy working across the group with different team members and sectors, learning from each other and sharing our knowledge is vital. I’ve learned so much from the teams around me and I enjoy the variety of clients and work. I look forward to continuing to work across the teams and providing a high-quality service to our clients.”
