Audit & assurance.

“COMMITTED TO QUALITY AUDITS AND BUILDING MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIPS”

Based in our Bolton office, Sarah Frith is an Audit Director with over a decade of audit experience and is known for her broad and practical perspective. She works with a wide range of clients and leads audits from planning to completion, ensuring a smooth and effective process that is tailored to each client.

Sarah’s background involves both external and internal audits, and her experience working with large and small companies means she adapts easily to different client needs.

Beyond her client work, she plays an active role in the wider audit team by assigning them to jobs, acting as a training manager, and ensuring quality and compliance standards are maintained across the department.

OPEN AND CONSISTENT COMMUNICATION

“Building strong relationships with clients is at the heart of how I work, and I believe it starts with being approachable, transparent and dependable. I always take the time to understand how each client works, what matters most to them, and how we can tailor the audit process to make it as effective as possible. I make sure clients know I’m always here, and they can come to me directly with any questions or concerns. That level of trust lays the foundation for a strong, lasting relationship.”

PEOPLE FIRST AND CLIENT-FOCUSED

“One key strength I’ve gained in my experience is my people-first leadership. Whether I’m training my team or working directly with clients, I adapt my approach to suit individual needs while keeping the bigger picture in sight.

To me, the greatest compliment I could receive is when a client chooses to continue to engage with us or recommends us to others. It’s a clear sign that we’ve earned their trust and delivered something of real value.”

TURNING CHALLENGES INTO OPPORTUNITIES

“One of the main challenges in audit is working while regulatory standards increase and change. However, I see this as an opportunity to add value.

I invest time in thorough planning and keep communication open and clear, ensuring every audit runs smoothly. I make sure my team is well-supported, with the right tools and training in place so the work can be delivered on time and to the highest standard.”

TRUSTED THROUGH ACTION

“The most rewarding part of my job is when clients see me as more than just their auditor, but as someone who’s genuinely there to help and who cares.

I really enjoy helping clients navigate challenges and find ways to make their processes smoother and more efficient. It’s not just about delivering a service, it’s about making a positive impact on their business.”

LEADERSHIP THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE

“Throughout my career, I’ve learned that confident leadership makes a real difference. I’ve shaped my approach to be calm, clear and supportive, especially when managing multiple priorities. I believe it’s about setting a tone, staying focused and creating a positive environment. That level of consistency is something I take pride in.”

BEYOND THE NUMBERS

“There’s a common misconception that audit is just about ticking boxes and historical numbers. In reality, a great audit is forward-thinking, analytical and people-focused. We’re identifying risks, advising on improvements and helping businesses understand their financial position more clearly. When done well, an audit gives clients real value by offering clarity, confidence and insights to help them seize opportunities.”

ALWAYS LOOKING AHEAD

“One of the things I value most about working at AAB is the balance between individual work and collaboration. Although I’m trusted to lead and contribute to change, being a part of the wider AAB gives me access to a larger network, shared expertise and exciting opportunities for growth, both for myself and for the clients we support.

Looking ahead, I’m especially excited about the role of technology in audit. Tools like AI are already helping us work more efficiently, and I can see huge potential in how they might reshape the way we deliver value.”
