“I aim to build trust by being a dependable point of contact.”

Kyle Sinclair is an Audit Assistant Manager based in our Glasgow office. He is responsible for planning and delivering efficient, well-structured audit services to a diverse portfolio of clients across the region. Alongside ensuring audits are completed to the highest standard, Kyle is passionate about aiding the next generation and dedicates time to the training, development, and support of junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Going beyond the numbers

“For me, a strong client relationship starts with open and honest communication. I pride myself on being approachable and always available to my clients, ensuring any audit issues are resolved promptly. Whether it’s addressing a technical query or just having a conversation about the bigger picture, I aim to build trust by being a dependable point of contact.

It’s not just about delivering a high-quality audit—it’s about developing relationships that go beyond the numbers. I want my clients to feel they can rely on me to understand their business, provide insights, and offer value beyond the immediate task at hand.”

Adding Value In Audits

“Audits should be more than just a compliance exercise—they’re an opportunity to improve processes, strengthen controls, and provide meaningful insights. My experience working with clients across various industries enables me to spot opportunities for improvement, and I find it incredibly rewarding to share ideas that make a tangible difference.

Our goal is to deliver a robust and efficient audit while bringing value that clients can appreciate. I firmly believe that honesty, clear communication, and a collaborative approach are the cornerstones of a successful audit process.”

Collaboration is key

“One of the things I enjoy most about my role is the variety. Every client is different, and working with businesses across a range of sectors keeps things fresh and exciting. Over time, I get to know my clients, understand their challenges, and build positive working relationships that make the job all the more rewarding.

It’s also fantastic to work alongside such a supportive team. At AAB, we’re in it together, and I value the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues who are always ready to share their expertise or lend a hand when needed.”

Playing a part in the next generations development

“A big part of my role involves working with and mentoring junior team members. I remember what it was like starting out in my career, so I’m passionate about helping others grow and succeed. Whether it’s through sharing technical knowledge, offering practical advice, or providing encouragement, I enjoy seeing others develop their skills and confidence.

It’s important to me that we create an environment where everyone feels supported. A strong team dynamic not only benefits our clients but also makes AAB a great place to work.”

Balancing Assertiveness with Understanding

“Auditing often requires assertiveness and the ability to communicate effectively. However, it’s just as important to listen and understand differing perspectives. Reaching a resolution that works for everyone takes collaboration, patience, and mutual respect. I make a conscious effort to ensure that every discussion is constructive and leads to positive outcomes.”

The Importance of a Personal Touch

“Technology plays a huge role in delivering efficient audits, but I believe there’s no substitute for the personal touch. Building trust and strong relationships with clients comes from spending time with them, understanding their needs, and tailoring our approach to fit their specific goals.

While I fully embrace the efficiencies that technology offers, I think the human connection is what really sets us apart. Taking the time to engage on a personal level ensures clients feel valued and confident in the service we deliver.”

Thriving in a Growing Business

“Being part of a growing business like AAB is incredibly exciting. It’s an environment that challenges me to develop not only my technical skills but also my leadership abilities. As I continue to grow as an Assistant Manager, I feel confident knowing I’m part of a team that encourages personal development and supports my ambitions. I’ve been given the tools and opportunities to deliver on a bigger stage, which motivates me to keep pushing forward.”
