Audit & Assurance services.

“Done well, an audit can be transformative.”

Jai Raja is an Audit Partner at AAB and the Regional Audit Lead for South England, based in the firm’s London office. With a career spanning over 17 years, he brings a depth of experience and a practical, people-first approach to every client relationship. His sector knowledge covers a broad range of industries, including manufacturing, renewable energy, technology, real estate, and construction.

Jai is known for delivering clear, insightful advice on Financial Reporting and Audit & Assurance matters, helping clients not only stay compliant but also spot opportunities and strengthen their operations. He’s passionate about building trusted relationships and is a firm believer that audits should bring real value beyond the numbers. Whether supporting clients through complex challenges or mentoring future leaders within AAB, Jai’s focus is always on delivering quality, building trust, and making a meaningful difference to the people and businesses he works with.

Building on a foundation of trust

“The best relationships are built on trust. For me, that’s the foundation of any successful client relationship. I want clients to feel they can pick up the phone, run something past me, and know they’ll get high-quality advice they can rely on. That sort of relationship only works when there’s mutual respect—when both sides understand the value each brings to the table.

Audit isn’t just about ticking boxes; it’s about constructive challenge. I work closely with clients to make sure they not only meet their compliance requirements but also gain real insights that help them strengthen and grow their business. When we work with that shared mindset, great things happen. It opens the door to better conversations, better outcomes, and ultimately, better business performance.”

No two days are the same

“What drew me to audit, and what’s kept me here, is the sheer variety. I get to speak to different clients every day, each with their own goals, pressures and ways of working. Every audit presents a new challenge, often going beyond only technical challenges. One day, I might be deep in financial detail, while the next, I’m sitting down with a client’s leadership team to understand what makes their business tick.

That level of access is a real privilege. My experience across so many different businesses means I get to offer advice that genuinely helps a business improve its operations, beyond just the audit. I enjoy those conversations that start with a number and end with a strategic insight—those are the moments when I know we’re really adding value.”

People first, always

“Over the last decade, I’ve had the pleasure of supporting and mentoring a wide range of colleagues. It’s something I care deeply about. Watching someone join, maybe feeling a bit unsure, and then grow in confidence with the right support is incredibly rewarding.

We have a culture that puts people at the heart of everything. That’s not just a nice-to-have; it’s fundamental to how we work. Happy, supported teams do their best work, which results in quality audits. That’s why I’m always looking to foster environments where people feel encouraged, challenged and, most importantly, valued.

It might be a cliché, but it’s true—what sets AAB apart is its people. We have a brilliant culture of collaboration and celebration. There’s a shared ambition, a clear moral compass, and a real drive to deliver for our clients and each other. And it’s not just talk- our client feedback and satisfaction scores show we’re delivering on those promises every day.”

Shaping the future of audit

“Joining AAB during such an exciting growth phase is a fantastic opportunity. The momentum behind our Audit team, particularly in the South of England, is incredible. I’m proud to be part of that journey, helping shape how we expand, win new business, and support our growing client base.

Being involved in both the strategic side of the business and day-to-day client delivery puts me in a unique position, and it’s one I enjoy. There’s a buzz about what’s happening at AAB right now, and I’m excited to play my part in what’s to come.”
