“Resistance to change is one of the most common challenges I encounter in my role, particularly when working on projects that impact a range of stakeholders. Most people don’t like change. It’s natural to feel apprehensive about something new or unfamiliar, especially when it disrupts the norm.
To overcome this, I focus on clear, transparent, and empathetic communication. For change to be successful, it’s essential to help people understand the bigger picture and feel confident in the journey ahead. Communicating what the change is, why it’s happening, and the impact it will have—not just on individuals but on the organisation as a whole—makes a significant difference. Without this buy-in from all relevant stakeholders, resistance can hold progress back before it even begins.
By approaching challenges with a problem-solving mindset and open, honest communication, I aim to ensure that all stakeholders feel heard, understood, and engaged throughout the process. This approach allows me to turn initial resistance into support, creating a shared sense of ownership and success.”
