Angus McCuaig is an audit partner based in our Glasgow office. He became Audit Partner in 2004. From 2008-2021 Angus held the role of Audit Compliance Partner. He is responsible for leading our Glasgow Audit team to deliver success.
Angus utilises his wealth of experience and knowledge to support and advise clients in compliance matters and other areas that may be affecting the business.
“I really value being that trusted advisor to my clients because I want my clients to be able to ask me anything. I’m not saying that I’ll have all the answers, but I’ll know someone that can give them an answer.
It can be lonely being a business owner, so often my clients want an objective, independent point of view. It’s all about having good, meaningful conversations and being there for clients whenever they need me. Having that type of relationship with a client is really what gives me job satisfaction.”
“I’m focused on continuing to build strong strategic business partnerships. I was Chair of the Scottish & Northern Ireland region of the Accelerate Network which AAB is proud to be part of and continue to be significantly involved with the network.
AAB continues to create opportunities, and we have a clear strategic plan for the business. It’s my job to ensure that the AAB Glasgow Audit team is driving forward in the right direction to achieve our group strategic goals whilst working in partnership with our fantastic clients and team.”
“I have a great team around me whom I trust, respect and who I know will deliver for our clients. Each individual is equally important, and they have diverse backgrounds and skills. I believe that I bring a different perspective to AAB from the background and experience I have. It’s important that we have that diversity to continue to develop stronger and dynamic teams to support our clients.
I’m really proud of how our teams collaborate. We work hard to develop individuals but encourage a team approach to everything. Like everyone, I’m constantly growing and developing my role and skills too. As we see our team grow and progress, it means we’re able to deliver even better advice to clients.”
“Our experience, structure and investment mean that we can continue to invest in our clients, teams, and technology. I want us to be in a position where if a client asks if we can do something, then the answer is ‘yes we can’ because we have the resource, expertise, infrastructure, technology, and client experience to give the very best advice to clients.
I’m excited by the journey ahead. We have a clear plan for growth, but we’re not just growing for the sake of growing. It’s not just words on a page. It’s extremely important to me that our plans have real heart and soul to them. They have meaning and purpose to develop our team, help them grow, strengthen our support and broaden our advice to our much-valued clients.”
