Leading UK and Ireland professional services firm, AAB, has announced the appointment of a new Office of the CFO Partner in London. Chris Guy joins the growing team, marking a significant step in AAB’s commitment to expanding its presence and offering in the capital.
Chris brings more than 15 years’ experience working in high-growth, private equity-backed businesses, including more than a decade as a CFO. His background spans operationally complex, multi-site organisations across property, construction, hospitality and other consumer-focused sectors, giving him first-hand experience of the pressures and priorities facing finance leaders and business owners alike.
In his role, Chris will support clients across the full spectrum of the finance function, from management accounts and board reporting through to financial planning, analysis and wider strategic decision-making. A particular focus for the team will be private equity, an area where Chris’s experience will be central to how AAB supports clients through transactions and growth.
Lauren McCluskey, Head of the Office of the CFO at AAB, commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Chris to the team. He brings real depth of operational finance knowledge, along with first-hand experience of exits and transactions, which makes him a fantastic addition as we grow our presence in London. Private equity is a core focus for the Office of the CFO, and Chris’s experience and knowledge working in fast-paced, investor-backed businesses means he understands exactly what our clients need as they scale.”
Chris Guy, Office of the CFO Partner at AAB, added: “I’m delighted to be joining AAB as the firm continues to grow. The Office of the CFO team is already doing great work supporting clients’ in-house finance teams as they scale, and I’m excited to build on that success, helping clients see finance as an engine for growth, particularly in high-growth, private equity-backed businesses. I’m looking forward to bringing that experience to clients here in London.”
AAB’s Office of the CFO team supports founder-led, private equity-backed and listed businesses with everything from day-to-day operational finance to senior strategic support, helping leadership teams make better, evidence-based decisions. Chris’s appointment reflects the firm’s continued investment in its London office as part of its wider growth strategy.
The Office of the CFO service is designed to support organisations at every stage of growth, including entrepreneurs, SMEs, AIM-listed companies, private-equity-backed businesses, multinational groups and public sector organisations.
By integrating with existing finance teams or providing additional capability where needed, the service enables organisations to drive strategic decision making, strengthen reporting, improve financial visibility and respond more effectively to growth or change. The service is particularly valuable for organisations facing increased regulatory scrutiny, complex accounting requirements, or major transactions such as acquisitions, fundraising or market listings.
Backed by Goldman Sachs Alternatives, AAB now employs more than 1,800 people and generates over £200 million in revenue, having expanded through strategic acquisitions, investment and senior hires. AAB brings together deep sector expertise and a broad range of specialist services and continues to invest in the people, skills and opportunities that will shape the future of the firm.
