AUDIT

What does my team do?

Our team provides audit and assurance services, ensuring clients’ financial statements are accurate, compliant, and present a true and fair view. We test key financial areas like revenue, costs, and balance sheet accounts while analysing business risks and supporting clients through the audit process. Working with businesses of all sizes across industries from oil and gas to charities helps give us valuable insight into different sectors. But audit isn’t just about checking numbers—we get to know our clients and their businesses and add value wherever we can.

Why I love my job?

What I enjoy most about audit is the variety, every business is different, so there’s always something new to learn. I like working independently while being part of a team and gaining client exposure. The team is really supportive during training, and with so many young people at the firm, you’re don’t have to go through exams alone!

Verity McGlynn, Audit Analyst

Global Employment Taxes & Payroll

Our team works across the globe; the UK, Ireland, US and beyond, helping clients navigate the complex world of tax and payroll. We support businesses of all sizes and sectors, ensuring compliance with local legislation while providing guidance that impacts both companies and their people.

What we do?

We provide a broad range of services across employment tax, global mobility, payroll, and employee benefits. This includes advising on tax withholding reviews, expenses and benefits, employment status, off-payroll workers, termination payments, employment-related securities, and social security matters. We support complex cross-border tax issues, such as tax treaty analysis, cost projection calculations, tax return preparation and review, global tax consulting, and payroll adjustments for international employees.

On top of this, we manage end-to-end payroll, calculating employee pay, tax, and social security contributions, and help companies design and administer employee benefits programs, including pensions, insurance, and perks like Private Medical Insurance or Group Life Assurance. Our work is fast-paced, varied, and highly technical, providing real impact for both clients and their employees.

Why you’ll love it?

This work is rewarding and people-focused. You’ll develop skills across tax and payroll, building the expertise to become a trusted advisor across sectors. You’ll identify efficiencies that save clients money, improve employee engagement, and make a tangible difference to people’s lives.

You’ll thrive if you have an analytical mindset, are naturally curious, highly organised, and enjoy being a people person. Our teams are collaborative and supportive, allowing you to learn every day and engage directly with employees on topics like retirement, financial planning, and benefits. Every day brings new challenges, learning, and the chance to make a meaningful impact.

We work with innovative and ground-breaking companies to assess how their research and development work fits within HMRC’s R&D tax credit schemes, analysing how their financial costs mirror their technological developments, and how these costs fall within strict legislative qualifications.

Why I love my job

We’re given a unique perspective on the inner workings of clients that is not usually provided through regular accounting work, getting to see the journeys taken by both start-ups and established companies as they create and develop new technologies from first principles to working prototypes and beyond.
