International Tax training course

BLOG16th Jan 2019

AAB’s Training Team have developed a course providing an overview of the direct and indirect tax considerations when trading overseas. The international tax course will highlight opportunities and value adding actions as well as identify any traps and pitfalls when operating overseas. The course will cover the undernoted matters:

  • Overall tax objectives of international projects
  • Review/amend onerous contract tax terms and conditions
  • Understanding and minimising overseas tax exposures
  • Factoring in additional tax costs and tax compliance costs into bid price
  • Minimising risk of overseas tax compliance failures

AAB is here to help with the often complex and time consuming tax matters which can occur when operating overseas. It is important that the cost of taxes (direct and indirect) and also the compliance costs are considered early in the process and are fully understood. If these are addressed up front at the bidding/planning stage of the tender process this can avoid any nasty or costly surprises in the future.

The course is aimed at in-house accountants, finance, legal, contracts, tendering and HR managers and directors, as well as relevant senior management who are involved in commercial and financial implications of operating overseas.

The course will be delivered in AAB’s Aberdeen office and will include an overview of tax technical issues to consider as well as practical examples.

The course is schedule to run on Wednesday 27th February 2019 from 9am – 12noon. The cost of the course is £350 per person, £300 for each additional delegate per organisation (excluding VAT). Further information can be obtained from your usual AAB contact or inttax@aab.uk. To book your place, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
