BLOG13th Dec 2012

HM Revenue & Customs (“HMRC”) have announced that business record checks (“BRC”) are to be restarted now, and specifically in Scotland in January 2013. HMRC has advised that they will be writing to all relevant small and medium sized businesses advising they are to telephone to ask questions on the business record keeping. This call is expected to last approximately 15 minutes. Based on the answers given in this telephone call HMRC will then assess if your business is likely to be able to submit an accurate tax return.
