“We were extremely pleased to welcome AABIE to our research lab at University of Aberdeen, to show them just how their generous donation was helping us find effective treatments for paralysis caused spinal cord injury. The work they helped to fund is looking at ways we can develop materials to form a scaffold that supports nerve regeneration in the spinal cord after injury. If we can get the nerves to regenerate it could help people to feel again and hold a cup of tea for themselves.
