Light the North Little Lights - Kingswells Primary School

“We are so grateful to AABIE for the donation of our Little Lights Lighthouse. Our P3 pupils had a wonderful time painting their designs on our lighthouse.

The pupils used habitats as their inspiration and also living in Aberdeen. They included the sun and stars as examples of other sources of light.

The message is that the lighthouse is the symbol of the hope in the darkness for those going through cancer and their families. Our pupils felt that no matter how young you are, the way you treat people in life can make a big impact on them so our quote is  “Your small light can make a huge difference to others.”

Having lost friends and colleagues to cancer and being supported through this by CLAN it is a charity very close to our heart. This has been a wonderful, meaningful experience for our school and we are proud to have been involved.” Kay McAra, Depute Head Teacher
