Befriend a Child

“With thanks to the funding received from AABIE, Befriend a Child ran a playscheme focused on fun and friendship during the Easter holidays for befriended and mentored children.

The project ran over 6 days in which twelve children a day were allocated places. A total of 43 individual children and 12 volunteers took part in the Easter playscheme. Activates included visiting Aberdeen University Zoology Building, CHC Helicopters and Peterhead prison, as well as taking part in Easter crafts and a cooking session. We would like to give a big thank you to AABIE for supporting the Easter Playscheme. Your donation positively impacted all of the children who took part.

Without the volunteers who give up their precious time to take part in the playscheme the programme of events for the children would not be possible and for this we are very grateful. We would like to thank Tom and Michaela who came along from AAB to help out.
