WHO I HELP

Owner Managed Businesses, Large Corporates, International Groups.

HOW I HELP

UK Domestic and Global Payroll. Payroll Data. PAYE.

SECTORS/SUPPORT

All sectors.

“TRULY END-TO-END PAYROLL SERVICE.”

Katy Christiansen is our Payroll and Employment Taxes Partner. Katy works closely with a range of clients to deliver a personalised, integrated and fully outsourced payroll service. Working with clients to add value using technology to provide meaningful, timely and valuable data to help aid their business decisions.

Katy is based in our Aberdeen office but works extensively with the other AAB offices to deliver payroll and employment solutions. She specialises in everything from SME payroll to large corporate businesses that have international workforces.

A PASSION FOR STRONG RELATIONSHIPS

“What I really care about is the relationships and communication I have with clients. By working closely clients I can understand their needs and challenges. Businesses can be ever evolving, which mean their needs and requirements change. Strong relationships and communication help us quickly embrace client changes, allowing us to better support them in the process.”

On occasions clients don’t always understand what they need until they can see the options available to them. I enjoy being able to demonstrate how our payroll solution can help enhance a clients business. It’s not just the business owner or director we support, we support their employees through offering education and support, saving the client time.”

THE POWER OF PAYROLL DATA

“The technology we use and develop means that our systems can fully integrate with client systems. This ensures accuracy, speed, and efficiency with our payroll processes. This approach to technology ensures we continue to push the boundaries of payroll and embrace innovation.

What many clients don’t appreciate is the data that we can provide back to them following completion of the payroll. Payroll isn’t just about data inputs but also data outputs. We take a step further in really looking at and challenging their data. We can give clients visibility of all their payroll data and provide the tools to allow clients to use this data for bespoke reporting. The information provided can be a valuable tool for any business.”

MANY SPECIALISMS UNDER ONE ROOF

“We work closely with other teams in AAB to give our clients a truly collaborative approach to their people and their payroll. We work alongside our pension, international tax, and employment specialists to offer the best possible advice to our clients.

Having all these specialisms under one roof, really helps our clients and means that we truly give a holistic approach to payroll and employment taxes.”

AN EXCITING PAYROLL CAREER

“I’ve been in payroll for most of my career and like most people in the profession, it was a career I fell into. But I really want payroll to be seen as an exciting career choice and for people to leave school and say, “I want a career in the payroll profession.” I’d like to raise the profile of this sector and educate people about what a fantastic industry it is.

When you look at the importance of payroll in a business and the value that payroll brings to the employees, it really is an undervalued service and career option. We regularly take on school leavers and graduates and I’ll be the one championing payroll as a great career choice and an essential business service.”
