Doug Michael is Partner & US Tax Practice Lead in our Payroll and Employment Taxes team based in our London office.

Doug specialises in advising and consulting with a wide range of clients on all matters concerning global mobility, employment tax and payroll. He advises clients that have a US footprint on their obligations either domestically within the US or with their international cross-border operations.

I’m here to be the main point of contact for a client and I want them to trust me and the team, so that we can have a conversation about all of their business needs. Acting as a conduit I can then provide further value by bringing them the help and advice they need, not only from my team but from the broad range of experts we have at AAB.”

DEVELOPING A SPECIALIST TEAM

“I’m responsible for the development of the US Tax Practice within AAB, which is an area that we plan to rapidly grow. The team work closely alongside our colleagues within global mobility and payroll as well as other AAB business units such as private client, corporate finance, and corporate tax to offer complete solutions to individuals and business who interact with the US.

Leading a team of people that follows the same approach to client service and delivery as I do is really important. My leadership style is one of support and trust. I’m a calm person, I make time for people and will listen to them. It’s important for me to build strong team relationships as well as strong client relationships to foster successful partnerships.”
