“I’m excited by innovation & creativity.”

Alasdair Green is our Group ESG Partner. Based in our Aberdeen office, his role is twofold. Alasdair is responsible for the leadership and growth of our ESG client services team and is also the Group’s Group Head of ESG in delivering the organisation’s strategy.

The world is changing at a rapid pace and with that comes change for the business landscape. ESG factors are becoming increasingly important considerations for regulators, business owners, investors and consumers.

GLOBAL CHALLENGES

“At AAB, we recognise the critical role businesses play in addressing global challenges, such as climate change and social inequality. As part of the ESG team, Alasdair is committed to supporting businesses to embrace sustainability as a core component of their operations.

The range of services we deliver in the ESG team is vast and as a result we work closely with team members across the business adding value for new and existing clients. A main focus of my role involves bringing people together and building project teams that add value to our clients in business advisory, assurance, M&A and people services.”

BUILDING TEAM SPIRIT

“It’s very satisfying to provide a great service, but this doesn’t just apply to our clients. It also extends to our team members; we all serve each other. If I’m looking for a team members best input, I also need to give them mine so that we can combine our efforts to offer the very best for our clients.

I love to demonstrate good project management to team members in the hope that they will adopt some of that in their own style. I think this is a key aspect to building our team spirit: genuinely working together, sharing problems and knowing you can trust everyone. Enabling us to quietly get on with it consistently and confidently.”

WITH OUR CLIENTS IN MIND

With nine years of experience as a headhunter, I bring a network of C-suite individuals which is valuable in my business development role.”

striving for more

“At AAB, we care about our relationships, our service delivery and the results of our actions. I love to exceed expectations and believe that is always the right approach because it sets us apart from firms who aren’t prepared to put in the extra effort.

ESG is no longer a “nice to have” for businesses, it is becoming an increasingly high priority in the strategies of all companies and organisations. Without a good understanding and a suitable action plan, businesses will not be ready to tackle a wide range of risks and opportunities such as regulatory change, their competitiveness in the market, and sometimes physical risk to property and their supply chain.”

FORWARD-LOOKING & PROACTIVE

“I’m enthused about improving the efficiency of our teams and processes. I love to get things done and I am passionate about everything we do and everyone we work with.

In recent years, the AAB Group has been on an exciting growth journey. AAB has always been a forward-thinking and ethically minded business and this remains a core aspect of our culture as we continue to grow.

We are supporting clients with their ESG and we’re also following the same principles within AAB as we continue to grow, you can view our ESG impact report here.

I get a lot of pleasure in seeing the results of thinking ahead and being able to find solutions to problems that otherwise may not have anticipated. I love the freedom within AAB to be creative and to innovate, and to bring solutions that plant the seed for a really strong client relationship.”
