Colm leads Professional Services for Ireland and is based in our Dublin office. His role focuses on strategy, integration, and operational leadership as the business grows. He works closely with partners to align teams, strengthen service delivery, and build a strong, supportive team culture. Throughout his career, Colm advised clients of varying sizes, from owner-managed businesses and SMEs to multinationals operating in Ireland. His international network is vast, having been involved in a multi-region professional services network for over 10 years. These connections really help open doors for clients at a global level.

Driving the bigger picture

“A lot of my time is spent on strategy and integration, looking at how we bring teams together and how we support partners and the broader team as the business grows.

It’s rewarding to see how far we have come and we’re really only getting started. Our ambitions for Ireland are bold and in a really great way. Culture is central to that. If you don’t build the right culture, you won’t retain good people.”

Trust, internally and externally

“I always think about leadership in simple terms. If I was leading from the front, would the team follow?

Honesty and transparency are critical. Even when conversations are difficult, people respect clarity. You don’t build buy-in by avoiding the truth or softening the message too much.

You have to treat people the way you’d want to be treated yourself. That’s how you build trust internally. And without that trust, you don’t get alignment, you don’t get retention, and you don’t get consistency.

I joined the profession a little later than my peers at 27 and because of that, I’ve always maintained an open mindset, embracing opportunities that came my way. That’s what we pass on to team members starting their career and it pays off.”

Long-term relationships

“For me, longevity says a lot.

When clients stay year after year, it tells you they trust how you operate and how you handle challenges. That’s something you earn over time.

The same applies internally. If people stay, grow and want to be part of what you’re building, that’s a sign the culture is working. In the long run, relationships, with clients and with your own team are what sustain a professional services firm.”

A company that supports the demand of modern business

“Clients are increasingly dealing with complex change – whether that’s trading conditions, regulatory nuances, or evolving ESG requirements. We’re coming together with decades of experience and expertise that span every aspect of business. That multi-faceted approach is what makes us stronger, and I look forward to continuing this AAB journey with our team of experts and the clients we support every day.”
