Leading UK and Ireland professional services firm, AAB, is celebrating a significant individual accolade, with Senior Partner and Head of Family Business, Feargal McCormack, receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award, recognising his exceptional contribution to business and the accountancy profession across the island of Ireland.
Feargal McCormack’s Lifetime Achievement Award recognises his outstanding and lasting contribution to business, the accountancy profession and the wider community.
Marking the 20th anniversary of the Irish News Business Excellence Awards, the inaugural Lifetime Achievement honour celebrates Feargal’s “far-reaching influence across business, education and community life throughout Ireland. From boardrooms to grassroots organisations, his impact has been felt across the island,” as noted by The Irish News.
A former President of Chartered Accountants Ireland (2018–2019), Feargal founded award-winning firm FPM in 1991, growing it from a sole practitioner business into a leading advisory firm prior to its integration into AAB.
Recognised as a trusted adviser to family businesses, he is widely respected for his expertise in succession planning and long-term value creation. His career has been defined by a commitment to unparalleled client service, innovation, and impactful contributions to both the community and economy.
He has also received several major accolades, including his Outstanding Contribution to Irish Accountancy Award at the Irish Accountancy Awards in 2025.
On receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award, Feargal McCormack said: “I’m incredibly honoured to receive this award. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside exceptional colleagues and supporting many inspiring businesses.
This recognition reflects the collective efforts of the teams I’ve worked with over the years, from FPM through to AAB today. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved together and remain passionate about supporting the continued growth and success of businesses across all sectors.”
John Beevers, Head of Regions at AAB, added: “Feargal’s Lifetime Achievement Award is particularly special. His leadership, insight and influence have played a defining role in our journey, and this recognition is richly deserved.”
