Who I help
SMEs. Owner-managed businesses.
How I help
Accounting software. Billing processes. Digital queries.
“ALWAYS ORGANISED, PROACTIVE, AND TRUSTED.”
Donna Cain provides administrative support within AAB’s Digital Advisory team and is the go-to contact for Company Secretarial services across the Central Scotland region.
She manages digital queries and system access requests through Freshdesk, supports digital strategy initiatives, and maintains strong relationships with key software partners, including Xero and Dext.
Donna also plays a key role in developing and improving internal processes, including billing workflows – allowing her to help streamline services and create a consistent, efficient approach across all our offices.
BUILDING STRONG RELATIONSHIPS HAS ALWAYS BEEN AT THE HEART OF WHAT I DO
“While my role is largely behind the scenes, building strong relationships has always been at the heart of what I do. I enjoy getting to know clients and colleagues, being a trusted point of contact, and making sure things keep moving.
Whether it’s improving processes, simplifying the way we work, or keeping communication flowing, I’m always looking for ways to make life easier for the people around me.”
COLLABORATION IS KEY
“One of the biggest challenges is bringing everyone together around a consistent way of working. As AAB continues to grow and welcome new firms, everyone naturally brings different experiences and processes.
I believe the best solutions come from collaboration – listening to people’s ideas, understanding what works well, and building processes that combine the best of everybody’s expertise.
Good communication and involving the right people from the outset are key to making lasting improvements.”
MORE THAN ‘JUST’ ADMIN
“I think one of the biggest misconceptions is that admin is ‘just admin’. In reality, great administration is what keeps a business running smoothly.
A strong admin team provides the structure, organisation, and support that allows everyone else to do their best work. Behind every successful organisation is a team making sure everything works seamlessly behind the scenes.”
BRINGING PEOPLE TOGETHER
“I’m naturally upbeat and love bringing people together, which is probably why I’m so involved with AAB’s social committee.
I believe work should be enjoyable as well as rewarding, and I like to bring plenty of energy and humour to the team. We spend a lot of time at work, so if I can help put a smile on someone’s face while getting the job done, that’s a win in my book.”
COMMUNICATION BRINGS OUT THE BEST OUTCOMES
“Communication has always been one of my biggest strengths. As a team representative, I’m someone people naturally turn to for support or guidance. I believe the best outcomes come from working collaboratively and communicating openly.”
