Delivering a quality audit
“My ideal client relationship would be one where we have established trust and understanding, where the client can contact me throughout the year and they will receive sound advice and my technical expertise. Additionally, I like to be forthright with the client to help them be confident in their accounting processes.
I aim to deliver a well-planned audit that runs smoothly and with the least amount of disruption. I’m always keen to assist with technical accounting queries. Clients expect that I am available outwith the audit, and they can get in touch with me about anything.”
Getting to know clients
“The most satisfying aspect of working with clients is when a client is passionate about their business. Getting out on-site with clients and getting to know a business inside and out. It is great to see my clients grow and where the success takes them.”
Respect & Trust
“It is important that clients and our team have mutual respect and trust to ensure the audits are completed to a high standard and communication flow between the client and audit team is optimal. Everyone has a voice in the firm and team. Every opinion is valued and we all work together to produce a quality and robust audit.”
Dedicated to delivering results
“I would say the strengths I bring to AAB are dedication and pride in my work, I am hard working and aim to ensure clients and the team see this through example in my files being completed to a high quality standard. I also have great organisational skills which I use to manage the audits within timeframe and for maintaining the audit department’s planner.”
Managing expectations
“As the audits can be very time pressured we have to manage expectations and ensure information is provided in order to complete the audits within the client’s timeframe, I will work closely with the client in setting an achievable timetable, communicating with them throughout the process if and when unexpected matters arise.”
