“My career in audit and assurance was shaped by an early curiosity about how businesses truly operate and how strong governance underpins sustainable growth. Working across diverse organisations, industries, and geographies has reinforced his commitment to audit as a discipline grounded in integrity, professional judgement, and critical thinking.
A key motivator throughout my career has been the opportunity to support boards and stakeholders with confidence, backed by robust analysis and high-quality assurance.”
“I place real importance on building relationships that go beyond the audit file. I focus on understanding how a business actually works in practice, not just how it looks on paper. I spend time with key stakeholders early, listen carefully to their priorities, making sure I understand what good looks like for them and define what success looks like. This approach helps me tailor audits so that the audits are not only technically robust, but also feel relevant, practical, and genuinely valuable.”
“My key strengths lie in combining deep technical expertise with a pragmatic, commercial mindset. I have the natural ability to translate complex accounting and audit judgements into clear, actionable insights for my clients. I remain calm under pressure, particularly when dealing with high-risk or fast-moving engagements, and place strong emphasis on audit quality and professional scepticism.
Drawing on broad cross-sector experience, I help clients and my teams identify issues early and resolve them efficiently, without losing sight of the commercial reality.”
“One of the defining challenges in my career was stepping into a Group CFO role within a stressed family-owned business lacking robust financial systems and controls. The organisation faced uncertainty, and there was a clear need to rebuild structure, trust, and financial discipline from the ground up.
I approached this by focusing on understanding the root causes before implementing practical improvements to strengthen internal controls and reporting processes. Through resilience, clear communication, and decisive action over time, I helped restore stakeholder confidence and created a more stable financial foundation. This experience continues to shape my approach today, particularly when supporting clients and teams navigating complexity, change, or pressure.”
“I have supported organisations with fragmented financial reporting and unclear control environments. Working closely with the finance leadership teams, I helped identify key weaknesses and supported the implementation of improved reporting structures. The result is not only improved audit outcomes, but also enhanced confidence within management—empowering better, more informed decision-making. For me, seeing that journey from uncertainty to clarity remains one of the most rewarding aspects of his role.”
“What stands out to me about AAB is the strong culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Being part of a wider organisation allows me to draw on a broad network of expertise, sector insight, and innovative audit approaches. This strengthens the quality service we deliver to clients and ensures we remain responsive to evolving expectations.
I also value the emphasis on developing people. I am equally passionate about developing people, dedicating time to mentoring colleagues at different stages of their careers, which I see as a key part of maintaining long-term audit quality and building future leaders within the profession.”
“I have a strong interest in the evolving role of data analytics and AI in audit.
I’m focused on harnessing these tools to enhance risk identification, improve audit testing and generate deeper insights from complex datasets. To me, technology is not a replacement for judgment, but a powerful complement to it. My ultimate goal remains constant – delivering higher-quality audits and providing clients with more meaningful insights.”
“I am passionate about challenging the perception of audit as purely a compliance exercise. In reality, a high-quality audit provides valuable insight into business risks, internal controls, and opportunities for improvement.
My focus is always on ensuring clients experience tangible value beyond the statutory requirement. A well-executed audit should help strengthen governance, support better decision-making, and build stakeholder confidence.”
“Ultimately, my role is about helping clients achieve clarity in complex environments and confidence in their financial reporting.
I take pride in combining technical excellence with an approachable human style, ensuring clients feel supported, understood and confident throughout the audit journey. Every engagement is an opportunity to build trust, elevate quality, and deliver meaningful, lasting impact.”
