ARC Hippotherapy

“ARC Hippotherapy were absolutely delighted to receive the very generous donation from AABIE which contributed to us being able to purchase a much needed hydraulic lifting platform. Our group provide hippotherapy treatments to disabled children and adults. Hippotherapy is a form of physiotherapy treatment which utilises a horse’s movement to achieve the desired responses in a client. The new platform makes it much safer and easier for us to mount the clients onto the horse as it can be adjusted to the correct height for the client and the horse or pony.

As a direct result of having the lift we have already been able to offer our services to two new young disabled children who, due to their disabilities, we could not previously offer a place to as we were unable mount them safely onto the horse. This piece of equipment is already proving to be invaluable to us and we are so grateful to AABIE for helping us to achieve our goal.” Lisa Matheson, Secretary
