“Absafe applied via the online application form to AABIE. As a well -known local establishment we felt it would be of benefit to spread our charity message through yourselves. We are honoured to say that we were successful in our applications and are privileged to have AABIE on board. We had Karen Stewart and Claire Smith visit our premises in Bridge of Don to watch a school during their safety education training. Seeing what we do in action is vital to our applications as we feel that our words cannot describe the response of the children. As a small charity getting the call to say we have been successful in a funding application brought a great buzz to the office. AABIE have provided funding for us to allow 3 primary classes (including transport) to attend the Safe for training. Meaning that approximately 75 local children will receive vital safety education. Forehill Primary School was the first school to utilise the funding and found the session hugely beneficial. AABIE also attended and it was a nice surprise for the kids to see her! We are the other contacting schools which have previously expressed interest in coming but funding was a barrier for their trip and hope to have them out with us soon.
