WHO I HELP

I provide help to clients we provide Payroll, Global Employment Taxes or Global Mobility services too. I also help our internal teams.

HOW I HELP

I provide data in an easy to digest format and improve any processes that involve generating data and manipulating it some way. For example, a payroll journal in a client specific format or a dashboard breaking down employee activity across various countries.

SECTORS/SUPPORT

I mainly work with the Payroll & Employment team internally and any clients we provide Payroll, Global Employment Taxes or Global Mobility services.

“i CREATE SOLUTIONS THAT WORK FOR EVERYONE.”

Scott Ballantyne is a Manager based in our Aberdeen office. Scott works diligently to create reports for clients, like payroll journals and finance reports. He is also responsible for creating dashboards that provide information on subjects like gender pay gaps and employee global mobility.

MUTUAL TRUST & A FRIENDLY FACE

“For me, the ideal client relationship is where everyone gets along and both sides trust each other to deliver their respective parts of the task or project. Clients expect a friendly face; someone that can help them with any issue they might have, and that they can trust to provide a solution.

I think the most satisfying aspect of working with both clients and colleagues is exactly that: taking a problem or task and coming up with a solution that works for everyone.”

VIRTUAL COMMUNICATION

“Beyond the tech we use for processes and systems for clients, I tend to prefer the virtual route for regular communication, as it’s often easier to collaborate effectively and share documents.”

COLLABORATION WITH CLIENTS

“I think the greatest challenges are getting the correct requirements from the client as they sometimes don’t always know exactly what they want or can’t articulate it easily. If this is the case, I try to sit down with the client to go over what they are trying to achieve and then agree what steps need to be taken between us. In exploring what exactly their needs are, we can create an idea between us of what could be most helpful in streamlining and speeding up processes for them, and I’ll come up with a plan of how to do this most effectively.”

NEW TECHNOLOGY MEANS NEW OPPORTUNITIES

“I find it really exciting that I’ll get the chance to master new technology being rolled out over the next couple of years. I’m excited to be at AAB too, because I have no doubt that using this new technology will mean new opportunities for our teams to work with an even wider range of people.

Because I have payroll experience along with IT experience I think can help explain payroll or technical issues and concepts to technical people or payroll people as the situation needs.”

MAKING THINGS POSSIBLE

“The greatest compliment I’ve ever received came from a client we created a suite of dashboards for. This eventually became a product the client offered to their own client base and said it would never have been possible without our work or guidance when creating the dashboards.”
