Richard Higginbottom is a Senior Manager within our Audit team. His day-to-day role involves managing and taking responsibility for the audit of a portfolio of companies ranging from companies with a turnover of £5m up to those with a turnover of £200m. Having worked for several accountancy firms before joining AAB, and working closely with clients across a range of industries for 12 years, Richard has extensive experience in providing audit, accounting, corporate tax, and business advisory services to support clients in solving their challenges and realising their goals. Richard’s ideal client relationship is that of a business partnership – working together to support clients in achieving their aims.

An active member of our Industrial sector team, Richard aims to promote this through various forms of business development activities. He has attended many industrial and manufacturing-focused events and expeditions and also promotes the firm’s expertise in this area through his written blogs.

A HYBRID APPROACH

“We are a tech-enabled business, but when it comes to the virtual and ‘hands-on’ routes to working with clients my preferred balance would be a hybrid approach. This enables us to work closely with clients, building friendships and familiarity with the clients’ businesses. At the same time, it’s also important to not get in the way of their day-to-day work, and virtual communication is great for this. Ongoing investment keeps the firm’s IT capabilities up to date, helping to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our services.”
