“TAX ADVICE THROUGHOUT YOUR BUSINESS LIFECYCLE.”

Lynn Wilson is Corporate Tax Partner and part of our Corporate Tax and Expertise to Entrepreneurs teams. She specialises in supporting our clients with corporate and entrepreneurial tax advice from start-up through to exit.

Based in our Aberdeen office, Lynn can provide you with compliance and specialist tax advice including employee share schemes, succession planning, corporate restructuring and tax planning for mergers, acquisitions, and exit.

TOTAL PEACE OF MIND

“I enjoy building long-term and strong relationships with clients as it’s those types of relationships where I can really make a difference to the client. Often, I’m involved with planning for entire families if it’s a family business, so you get to know about parents, children, and grandchildren. I really enjoy understanding the owners and their own circumstances and family dynamics, so I can give them truly bespoke advice.

The most enjoyable part of my role is knowing that myself and the wider AAB team are providing total peace of mind. The team at AAB can deliver everything for a client, we’re always ‘on it’ as far as understanding our clients’ needs and delivering solutions. Everyone has the same ethos, which is a desire to deliver to clients, have fun and make our client’s lives easier.”

TAKING AN INTEREST & CARING

“It’s the care and the interest I take that makes a real difference to my clients. I wouldn’t suggest something unless there was a benefit to a client or it genuinely didn’t make a difference.

I’m never scared to make suggestions, offer alternatives, or challenge a client if it’s for the good of their business. Using the combination of my technical & commercial expertise and the care and interest I have in my client’s business and their families is what often really matters to a client.”

SUPPORT THROUGH THE BUSINESS LIFECYCLE

“I give support to businesses and high net worth individuals throughout their whole business lifecycle. Whether that’s supporting their growth or their different entrepreneurial stages, right through to succession. I love the fact that I can make a real difference to not only the business, but the individual running that business.

Often my role involves answering highly technical questions and it’s my experience, knowledge of tax law, and how to interpret that to get the right result for the client without being challenged by HMRC that really matters.”

OPPORTUNITIES TO GROW & DEVELOP

“I started my career with AAB after I graduated, and it’s been amazing to see the growth and development of the firm during that time. That growth has created opportunities for me to progress and develop my skills across a wide range of areas. It’s enabled me to truly understand the areas I love to work in and where to develop my specialisms and I’ve had the freedom to do that.

I love being able to now support others on their career journey and give them the opportunities to grow. We have some really bright, ambitious people in the business that I can now mentor and coach. It’s about encouraging them and being there to support them on their career path. That’s one of the rewarding but also fun parts of my role.”
