People & Culture Co-ordinator

Supports team members with HR related matters and ensures a smooth onboarding process for new hires.

Kirsty Munro is a Co-ordinator in our People & Culture department. Based in Aberdeen, her day-to-day role involves HR administration and employee support alongside supporting the wider People & Culture team with ongoing project work. Other daily tasks include responding to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and providing assistance, facilitating HR processes such as the onboarding process from offer of employment stage to first day inductions and assisting with the monthly payroll processing to name but a few. 


“I am very much a people person and love the daily interactions with various departments and colleagues across the AAB Group. The HR profession is ever-changing to make things better and helping others is always at the forefront of what I do. 

The AAB Group is not afraid of change. As a tech-enabled business it is important for me in my role to continually look at our HR processes to ensure these are efficient and working for the HR Team and wider AAB Group. 

During the COVID pandemic, I feel we really strived as a tech-enabled business. Communicating with the business is always key and this was always achieved whether that be via Microsoft Teams or internal software and intranets. Onboarding new hires is a vital part of my role and we managed to maintain the same level of interaction with all of our new hires to the AAB Group, we even had virtual office tour videos for new starts to get a feel for how it would be working in the office when that time did come.”

“It is rarely the same day as yesterday in the People & Culture department, we continually face new challenges and assist with various types of queries and requests. I feel I am patient and understanding and I’m never afraid to think of solutions if something is not quite working right. I am always committed and dedicated to the work I do and strive to provide the best service to my colleagues and wider AAB Group, and I am always willing to learn and face new challenges in my role.”
