Building strong relationships

“I have built up a wide professional network in both the Scottish market and cross border. I have good people skills which leads to excellent relationships with my clients, providing strong guidance and advice ensuring the service the client deserves is of a high standard. I strive to be someone they can rely on and trust, providing prompt and accurate advice to achieve what the client is trying to accomplish.”

People person

“I am regarded by my colleagues and work referrers as very much as a “people person”. As a Senior Member of the team, I lead by example, I have a strong work ethic and am happy to get sleeves rolled up to get a job done, collaborating with other members of the team to work to tight deadlines. I am an excellent negotiator and commercially aware balancing this with a holistic ethical and compassionate approach to every situation to get the best result”.

Teamwork

“I have worked on several interesting Administrations, liquidation, and judicial factory cases over the years, where due to the background and complexity of the case, there was significant public interest and time spent dealing with the case to its conclusion. I value all members of my team and recognise that their contribution and support, in dealing with such complex cases, is paramount.” There is no “I” in team!”.

The challenges

“Insolvency is a very fast-paced environment due to the nature of the work and statutory time frames. It requires quick thinking and strategic planning. I am a very organised and calm person and able to adapt to my situation and the pressures I face. If our firm was a hospital, our department would be A&E!”

Positive client feedback

“I have had lots of positive feedback over the years, in particular Directors and Shareholders who I have helped, when dealing with the solvent liquidation of their company. Some have referred their contacts to me who may need similar help.”
