More than just the details

“I believe in truly getting to know my clients—not just their businesses but also their personal goals, challenges, and aspirations. Understanding the full picture helps me offer support that’s not just reactive but proactive. There’s nothing more satisfying than forming long-lasting relationships that go beyond numbers and spreadsheets.”

Utilising our collective knowledge

“If I don’t have the answer, I’m in a fortunate position that someone else in our group is likely to have the answer for me. Being able to utilise this network is amazing as it’s like tapping into a huge tapestry of talent. We have specialists in every area, and this collaboration not only helps my personal development but also ensures that clients get the benefit of a broad and deep knowledge base.

Collaboration is key to success. AAB is continuously evolving, and I am fortunate to work alongside a diverse team of leading experts. Whatever problem a client is facing, I have confidence that someone within our group has the expertise to solve it.””

A trusted advisor in my clients’ corner

“My work ethic is strong—this is more than just a clock in and clock out 9-to-5 for me. I’ve spent many late nights in the office solving issues for clients because I want the very best for them. If it’s important to them, it’s important to me. I want my clients to know I’m in their corner. At times, this means providing honest, and sometimes tough, feedback or guidance. I approach these moments with understanding and empathy, but I’m always focused on what will truly benefit their business in the long run.”

Welcoming a flexible approach

“Digital transformation is an exciting aspect of my role. I’ve seen firsthand how it can uncover new potential in businesses—driving efficiencies, streamlining processes, and giving clients more time to focus on growth or even restore some much-needed work-life balance.

However, automation and digital tools will never fully replace the value of a trusted business advisor. Those face-to-face conversations and on-the-phone chats often reveal underlying issues that need attention—and that’s where I can make a real difference. So, while technology has enhanced what we do and it’s giving us a lot more freedoms it will never completely replace the human element.”

Supporting generations to come

“Supporting family businesses can sometimes be challenging when you’re trying to balance the needs and perspectives of different family members. But that’s where independent and objective advice is critical. I see it as my role to guide and support these clients through every business cycle, always to help the family and the business succeed together so they can provide a great foundation for the generations to come.”

Guiding clients along the right path

“After nearly two decades in the industry, I take great pride in my work, but even more so in the relationships I’ve built. I see my role as ‘joining the dots’ for clients—helping them clarify their goals and guiding them toward a solution that works. The greatest compliment I ever received came from a client who praised a staff member I had trained. He said, ‘I can tell he’s been trained by you—same work ethic, the same attention to detail, and the same sense of humour.’ Moments like that remind me why I love what I do.”
