Arlene Cumming is a Senior Manager within our Virtual Finance team. Based in Aberdeen, she is part of a team who provide virtual finance services across a diverse range of sectors. For clients, it provides the benefit of having their own finance department, just not in their office.  

Arlene can provide support with everything from information processing and management accounts, through to annual budgets and cash forecasting; and any additional financial support and advice that’s required.

“The advantage of being a virtual finance department is that I can work with companies that are in Edinburgh, London and Aberdeen. It’s possible due to the fact we use cloud-based accounting systems such as Xero. That gives everyone total flexibility – we can work or access files from any place, at any time – that’s especially useful due to the popularity of hybrid working.  

We also use various apps to integrate different processes – anything to make what we do more efficient. All of this brilliant technology has taken away a lot of the slow, tedious manual processes.”
