“Helping my clients overcome challenges and achieve their goals.”

Aaron Cullen is an Audit Assistant Manager based in our Belfast office. His role involves helping small to medium-sized owner-managed businesses across different sectors in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Aaron offers services such as statutory audits and accounts preparations, providing valuable support to clients. Throughout the engagement, he keeps his clients continuously updated on the progress as he believes that strong client relationships are built on trust and respect. Here at AAB, Aaron aims to make himself readily available to our clients when necessary.

AN IDEAL RELATIONSHIP

“Clients expect to receive a high standard of service and feel comfortable to reach out to me when they have any business-related query. To establish myself as their first point of contact, I make an effort to build a strong client relationship in our initial meetings.

I aim to advise clients to the best of my ability so they can achieve their business goals and obtain their desired outcomes. I am proactive in problem solving and I tend to address issues head on. An ideal relationship is one where there is trust on both sides. I can trust that the client will provide me with accurate information promptly and my clients can trust that I will deliver the desired outcome.”

POWER OF COLLABORATION

“At AAB, we continuously aim to improve processes to help deliver a better and more time-efficient result to our clients. If a decision is queried, we can provide a thorough explanation as to why we feel it was the appropriate action to take. The ability to bounce off other team members across AAB allows for support, especially in areas that some may be more familiar with than others. This also helps to speed up the process whilst also learning from one another.”

ADAPTABLE APPROACH

“Technology is now a massive part of every successful business; it is essential businesses have good systems to allow them to scale and grow. However, face-to-face meetings are still extremely valuable to form that initial client relationship. Sometimes being physically present adds a personal touch with the client allowing a strong initial bond to form.

Technology now allows for a greater work life balance as many client meetings can be held via Microsoft teams, allowing jobs to be carried out much more efficiently, freeing up additional time that would have originally been spent travelling.

We here at AAB are described as being “people-persons” and even more so now than ever as technology grows within our company so does our communication with our clients, we are now even more accessible and capable of providing valuable advice and improving our services. With the rapid growth of the AAB, endless amounts of new and exciting opportunities arise on a daily basis.”

OVERCOMING CHALLENGES

“One of our greatest challenges is when a client has incomplete data sets. In this case, we do everything we can to help the client get up to speed. For example, if we have a client with a massive in-house payroll and are struggling to keep on top of it, we can offer to provide this service and introduce them to our in-house team of qualified individuals who can provide payroll support and relieve their client of stress.

Clients are our passion. When a client is happy and satisfied with the work we provide them, they not only stay with us, but they can also be a key factor in allowing us to continue our work by sharing their experience with others, bringing us new clients through word of mouth.”
