AAB / About / Careers / Early Careers / Apprenticeships
Applications for our 2025 Apprenticeship Programme are now open.
The AAB Apprenticeship Programme is a fantastic alternative route into a career in accountancy and business advisory. Our apprenticeship programme allows you to earn a competitive salary and develop new skills while working in a progressive, diverse, energetic and stimulating environment. After gaining valuable knowledge and practical experience, you will start to study towards your chosen professional qualification.
We also delighted to offer Graduate Apprenticeships and through this programme you will be able to work towards a university degree and either ICAS or ACCA.
There are several professional qualification options to choose from which are dependent on the department you join:
Your training will be fully funded, and generous study leave is provided. While studying you will be supported by encouraging and approachable team members, most of whom will have been through studies themselves.”
We encourage our trainees to become all-round business advisors and so along with professional study we place equal priority on providing support to enhance the development of professional skills, including presentation, communication and teamwork.
As part of our apprenticeship programme, you will also be joining our other trainees undertaking internship, student placement and graduate trainee roles and learning alongside them. We are a very social firm, value good relationships and encourage participation in the numerous sports, social and fundraising events organised by Social Club and through AABIE.
What does my team do?
Auditing involves the examination of clients’ accounts to ensure that the financial statements provided by the organisation are accurate. Additional services provided by our Audit team are Audit fraud prevention and whistleblowing services. As a Graduate in Audit you will be a key member of the team and completing chargeable work for our clients from day one.
Why I love my job?
I love my job because it has been a constant platform to grow. I have always been supported and encouraged to develop through training, study and the unique opportunities that can arise through being part of the AAB group.
-Audit Advisor
We have an extremely varied role within the Business Advisory team, which can be involved in anything from preparation of annual statutory accounts, monthly and quarterly management reporting, assisting with client outsourcing requirements, cloud accounting and VAT return preparation. The team also benefits from working closely with other service lines and having the opportunity to support clients across various sectors.
I enjoy the variety that comes with my role and the opportunity to work with such an extensive range of clients from different industries and backgrounds, as every day brings about a new challenge. I also feel very lucky to work with a great group of colleagues within the Business Advisory team, as this plays a huge part in my day-to-day role, and really is what makes the firm stand out in my opinion.
Emily Walton, Business Advisory Manager
