DiSC: Harnessing Your Strengths to Get the Best out of Your Team

BLOG15th Feb 2023

The DiSC model has been used for years to improve work productivity, teamwork, leadership, and most importantly, communication. Everyone is a mixture of each style, but most people tend to fall into one or two of the main DiSC styles:

  • Dominance
  • Influence
  • Steadiness
  • Conscientiousness

By understanding your DiSC profile it will allow you to better understand your preferences, priorities, and tendencies, allowing you to “flex” your style and build more effective working relationships with others.

On Thursday 23rd February, Think People HR and Learning Development Consultant Chris Deary will be hosting an interactive workshop on ‘Emotional Intelligence for Effective Communication’. As part of this workshop, attendees will receive their own DiSC profile which will:

  • Outline how those with different preferences like to work and be communicated with
  • Identify your strengths and opportunities, working with you to build a development plan to better address them and put them into practice
  • Explore how all preferences can be strengths when harnessed correctly, and can also be weaknesses when overplayed
  • Identify the preferences of your team members and understanding what this means for their potential strengths, areas for improvement, fears, motivators, attitudes and behaviours
  • Teach you how to manage each style to get the best out of your team
  • Explore how to flex your communication for each style, with an emphasis on understanding which styles you currently find most difficult to communicate with and why
  • Teach how to facilitate effective communication between team members depending on their DiSC styles

The workshop will run from 10am-1pm and there are limited spaces remaining. To secure your space click here.
