When you’re running your business cost-effectively, there may be times when your own people are at capacity or you have a special project that requires a different set of skills. We can provide temporary staffing solutions to satisfy your needs and keep driving your success.

All our people are quick to assimilate and adapt to evolving situations; that’s one of the qualities that’s brought them to AAB. When they transfer to you, they’ll soon expand their knowledge of your company, your challenges and objectives and your people’s roles and responsibilities. 

Naturally you’ll have your own way of working – just as we do. Our people are adaptable and will quickly adopt your methods, whilst sharing some of the best practices they’ve developed with us. Being ‘lean’ and only hiring full-time employees for essential roles allows you to be financially efficient, but leaves you with little ‘wiggle room’. By arranging a secondment or project support with us, you gain in flexibility without making a major commitment. 

As you may be aware, from 15 March 2020 the FRC’s Ethical Standard prohibited loan staff arrangements from your statutory auditor, even on a short-term basis. If you wish to retain your relationship with your existing external auditor, you must look elsewhere. Assuming we don’t provide that service to you, we can quickly deploy suitably experienced staff to suit your requirements. 


Some businesses arrange secondments with students who are part way through their training or individuals who are only recently qualified, as this can often be an inexpensive solution. We’re all for students or recently qualified accountants having the opportunity to learn more in a different environment – it can be a very good move for their careers. 

However, it’s true that there’s no substitute for experience, so if you are looking to secondment because you are seriously under pressure, that may be asking more of students or newly-qualified accountants than they can reasonably provide. All the AAB people available for secondments or project placements are knowledgeable, experienced and very capable. As well as supporting you, they are ambassadors for AAB which means they are already highly regarded.
