Cruse Bereavement Care Scotland

Since June 2020 Cruse have been able to commence and continue to support, for a period of time, bereaved children, young people and families living across Scotland via video link. The donation for the tablets and their use with clients has vastly assisted in timely help when it is most needed.  Geographical distance is no problem when using the tablet, but it can sometimes take awhile to adjust to local accents. The video camera enables sharing of focused activities, active listening – noting any silences, and all this is provided in a confidential and non-judgemental manner.

When face to face sessions are permitted I hope the use of secure video links will continue which will enable us to reach clients who might have challenges for face to face. EG living on an island or unable to leave their homes.

Thank you to AABIE for your generous gifts, which just keep giving and giving. Hilary, Volunteer
