“I LIKE TO BUILD GREAT RELATIONSHIPS.”

Keri is an Assistant Manager in our Virtual Finance Function (VFF) team, providing completed management accounts to a variety of clients.

Based in our Aberdeen office, Keri works with clients across the charity, food & drink and leisure, retail & hospitality sectors to provide timely and accurate accounts, working with the wider business advisory team and AAB’s payroll team.

A BESPOKE SERVICE

“Within the VFF team we aim to have open communication with the client which allows us to be proactive to changes and understand their business as fully as possible.

Every client has a different set of needs we help them meet and different goals they are aiming to reach so I really take the time to get to know the client, their teams and business to make sure we are providing a personal service that exceeds their expectations.”

BUILDING CONFIDENCE

“AAB is disruptive in our sector, always challenging norms and coming up with innovative solutions to help our clients. This approach and culture really impacts my work. It has encouraged me to be more confident, to question more things and in turn find out more information that helps both my personal development but also my clients, as the quality of service I deliver is always improving.

As my career is developing it is really making me realise there is so much to learn, the opportunities are never ending thanks to my diverse client base. Being in such a supportive team means I know I will be given all the help I need when it comes to future development and specialising.”

A HYBRID APPROACH

“VFF can work with companies based anywhere in the world with our cloud-based accounting systems.  This is combined with various Apps to integrate different processes and provides our team with great hybrid working opportunities. I can be there for my clients when they need me, working to suit their time zones, whilst knowing this means I can take my time back elsewhere.

Work/life balance is so important, so it is really rewarding being part of a team that recognises this and makes sure we are bringing our best selves at work thanks to appreciating the importance of down time.

There is definitely still a perception that accountants are all boring, but I can happily confirm this is very far from the truth! At AAB we work hard and play hard. Its always fun to get together at a team and celebrate our hard work!”
