FINDING THE RIGHT SOLUTION

“I love the variety of what I do and the clients I work with. I sometimes get asked questions by clients that are ‘a bit off the wall’ but I love the challenge of finding the right solution for our clients. If I haven’t seen a similar situation before, then I know someone within AAB will have. We have such a vast amount of experience and expertise in AAB, being able to harness that to deliver a solution is amazing.”

It’s ideal when a client is considering a transaction like a business disposal/acquisition or restructure, that they get us involved as early as possible. If we are involved early in the process, we can use our experience to give the best advice and make sure the transaction is as efficient as possible.”

THANK YOU MEANS EVERYTHING

“A simple thank you and knowing I have a happy client is everything to me. I get huge satisfaction when I can visibly see the results that we have achieved together. For example, when a business owner sells their company, it can be a lengthy and stressful process, knowing that I can help to make that less stressful is rewarding.

I am also a huge advocate of employee share schemes; I think they are a great incentive. Being able to help a client to put a share scheme in place to reward employees and align them to business goals is a really positive process to be involved in.”

MAKING THE COMPLEX CLEAR

“My role involves complex tax legislation and it’s important that I can explain that concisely to a client and give them clear answers and advice.

I understand when our clients need a quick turn around on our work. It’s part of the AAB and my ethos to understand a clients’ deadlines and be able to work with them to meet their requirements. It means I work in a fast-paced environment, but I enjoy it.”

BUILDING A CAREER

“Travel is my passion and I’m extremely lucky that AAB have supported my ambitions beyond work. I have taken a couple of sabbaticals to travel, and each time AAB have offered me the flexibility and ability to return to work and still build my career.

I love being able to help others build their careers at AAB. I mentor and coach several people in the business. It’s great when we have people that have personal drive, a thirst for knowledge and show initiative because we are able to open up opportunities for them to develop and progress within AAB.”
