How I help
I like automation. I review current systems, processes and procedures and provide detailed recommendations for where we could speed up the process while not sacrificing accuracy or controls. I can assist with setting up a new system where none currently exists or assist with a system change, managing the process to provide the solutions and ensure a smooth transition to that system within agreed timescales.

I can assist with all sectors. Prior to being a part of the AAB family, my background was in hospitality and insurance, but I am currently supporting clients in a range of industries and the solutions I seek to offer work for all industries.

Ian Pascall is a Senior Manager within the Virtual Finance Function team, and has a particular focus on systems (particularly cloud) and process reviews and installations. Based in our Glasgow office, Ian provides a vital service to clients by reviewing and evaluating the systems, processes and procedures that companies have in place, and providing in-depth recommendations to clients, helping clients put into place systems that allow them to meet their needs more efficiently, more smoothly, and with improved systems collaboration.

Every day presents new learning opportunities – it could be in the form of a new system, a new way of doing something, a new shortcut in excel. There are so many systems and apps available – no matter what industry you may be in, I seek to have an app stack that works end to end for your business. The world is constantly evolving, and I always seek to evolve with it and stay ahead of the game.
I have a natural curiosity about how everything works – I like to look at how things are done and challenge the methods, systems and processes that are being used, and really explore all the ways in which they can be improved.”

“It’s a constantly evolving world – trying to keep on top of new add-ons for systems like Xero, Business Central, Iplicit, AccountsIQ, and keep track of which are currently the best add-ons, new systems, updates to systems… it’s a challenge! Then again, it’s the diversity of challenges and how we solve them that makes everything so interesting. AAB has a very strong knowledge pool across the firm, covering all bases, which allows us to provide creative solutions for clients.”
