“CLIENTS’ SUCCESSES BECOME MY SUCCESSES.”
Daniel Murray is an Assistant Manager in AAB’s Audit department, and has experience in providing audit and assurance services to clients that range from local owner managed businesses to international groups. He has worked with clients within a range of different industries and sectors, allowing him to provide a tailored approach to each individual client.
AN OPEN LINE OF COMMUNICATION
“An ideal relationship with a client for me would be an open consistent line of communication between myself and the client. Including a personal relationship developed with the client developed through face-to-face communication.
Clients know that I provide them with a knowledgeable professional service whilst utilising my technical expertise to provide assistance where applicable. The most satisfying aspect of working for a client is seeing the clients’ hard work being reflected in the company’s successful financial performance. Their successes become my successes, so it’s really rewarding seeing clients do well.”
THE MORE INSIGHT, THE BETTER
“Working with a range of clients of different sizes and from different sectors is great because it means you are able to meet lots of people and see different approaches to business. I really enjoy getting to know our clients personally and professionally, and gaining insight into their business. The more insight we can get into a client the better, because it allows us to tailor our service and approach to be a perfect fit with that particular client’s needs”
Developing a strong relationship based on mutual respect and trust is key, because it means we are better able to communicate honestly, clearly, and with regularity, and deal with any challenges as they may arise.”
A HYBRID APPROACH
“My personal preference is to work closely with clients on a more hands on, face-to-face approach but I recognise there are definitely benefits to both AAB and our clients in utilising technology in order to carry out work remotely. As we move forward a hybrid approach which includes both remote working and face-to-face client interactions will enable us to provide the most efficient service possible.”
OPPORTUNITY TO GROW
“The greatest challenge I have working in audit is managing a very large workload, but it helps to know how and when to delegate work effectively where possible. This helps us meet client expectations with regards to tight reporting deadlines, and also gives the opportunity to grow to more junior members of the team who are always keen to acquire more skills and experience. That’s something AAB is great for in general actually: providing the opportunities to grow for whoever wants to.”
AN EXCITING TIME FOR AAB
“It’s a very exciting time for AAB as the firms growth exceeds anything its seen before. The rapid expansion will be great for our team I think, as a larger team means a wider pool of expertise and specialist knowledge across a wider geographic scale, which is fantastic.”
