Payroll & Employment Taxes Director
WHO I HELP
Owner Managed SMEs. Large Corporates. International Groups.
HOW I HELP
Domestic Employment Taxes.
“DEVELOPING OUR EMPLOYMENT TAXES BUSINESS.”
Clinton Knox is a Director in our Payroll & Employment Taxes Team and his role focuses primarily on domestic employment taxes.
Based in our London office, he is responsible for developing and growing our employment tax team and offering to our clients. Clinton supports all types of businesses from SMEs to large corporates in a wide range of sectors.
SKILLS BEYOND TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
“I bring to the team a wide range of experience having previously worked in roles in international HR, personal tax, US private client, payroll and global mobility. This variety of experience means I have a much wider understanding of employment tax, not only in the UK but across the globe and can take a more holistic approach to the advice I give to clients.
But it’s not just my technical experience that clients need or want. The biggest compliments that clients have paid me is saying that I articulate the complex and explain it in simple terms and that they like working with me and trust me. Building those trusted relationships and being able to simply explain the technical aspects of our work into plain English is as fundamental to my role as my technical experience.”
A FOCUS ON TECHNOLOGY
“Technology is at the heart of what AAB do. They truly are a technology enabled firm. Rather than just keeping up with technological advances, AAB are at the forefront of that development and that is really exciting for me.
We’re focused on using technology to give better service to clients and making their lives easier. Minimising manual processing and therefore eliminating human error gives clients comfort and peace of mind. Technology also enables us to use more of our time advising clients and less time processing data, meaning we add more value to the client.”
AN AMBITIOUS FIRM WITH AMBITIOUS CLIENTS
“Our clients are ambitious business owners or senior corporate leaders. Clients want to know that they are supported by a firm that have the same ambitions as they do, will grow in line with them and will still be able to give them the best support or advice in five or ten years’ time.
The board and senior leadership of AAB are serious about the growth of the firm in the future, and they are not afraid to change and learn to continue to do the best for their clients. We’re brave enough to do things differently if it provides a better outcome for our clients or our own people.”
BUILDING A FIRST CLASS TEAM
“I love the fact that my role in AAB includes building the employment tax team. Being able to grow a team, bring in experienced individuals and nurture and mentor new talent is what really excites me about my day-to-day role. My leadership style is relaxed because I believe in giving people the opportunity to develop as individuals in a way that suits them. I’m there to provide the framework and support to allow them to progress their careers. Developing tomorrow’s leaders is what I really enjoy doing.
The culture in AAB is personable and relaxed, we have great people, and they are the type of people I’m happy to go for a beer with!”
