Andrea Masson is a Senior Manager within our Virtual Finance Function (VFF) team. She works with a diverse portfolio of clients, mainly in the UK, but others based in Sweden, Canada and the United States.  

Based in our Aberdeen office, Andrea provides invaluable support to her clients. Some have their own in-house finance team but need support with management accounts, while others require a full Virtual Finance Function including processing, management accounts, VAT returns, payroll and statutory accounts. VFF works so well because clients can pick and choose exactly what services they need.  

BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS 

“Having an open and responsive relationship with my clients is important. Having regular interaction through Teams calls makes such a difference. I may be sitting in a different office, but it should feel like I’m part of my client’s team. It’s not only about building a working relationship. Getting to know the people you’re in regular contact with makes every day so much more enjoyable.”

“There’s one part of my job that I find really satisfying. I love the challenge of improving the quality of information provided to management, to allow effective decision making for them in running their businesses.  

Often a problem can be solved by suggesting new technology or an app. Something relatively simple can save time and make a world of difference, and my clients may not even know that help is out there.”
