HOW I HELP

We help clients in a variety of ways, at its core we provide an outsourced HR function to help with organisations wider HR strategy. I aim to provide tailored solutions that meet their unique needs and help them to achieve their business objectives. This can include increasing employee engagement, optimising HR processes, implementing HR framework, salary benchmarking, recruitment process management and investigation procedures.

I support the Human Resources function in a wide array of sectors; hospitality, retail, tech, construction, not for profit and public sector.

“BY APPROACHING PROBLEMS WITH AN OPEN MIND & A WILLINGNESS TO EXPERIMENT, YOU ARE ABLE TO FIND INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS THAT SET YOU APART.”

Her role involves working with clients to provide strategic advice and solutions for their HR needs. Aimee’s responsibilities include client relationship management, project management and contributing to the overall growth and success of our organisation.

Currently, Aimee O’Shea is beginning the process of specialising in employment law, coming from an academic background this has always been of interest to me.

COMMUNICATION, TRUST & COLLABORATION

“An ideal relationship with a client involves open communication, trust and collaboration. It is important to listen to the client’s needs and concerns, and to provide tailored solutions that meet those needs. Regular check-ins and updates help to maintain a strong relationship, as does a commitment to delivering high quality work and providing excellent customer service.”

ATTENTIVE, RESPONSIVE & SOLUTION-ORIENTED

“Clients expect me to provide advice and solutions for their human resources needs, including conducting research, developing and implementing HR policies and procedures. They expect me to be responsive, attentive and to provide high quality, bespoke work that meets their unique needs.”

BUILDING POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS

“The most satisfying aspects of working with clients are building relationships, providing tailored solutions, and helping clients achieve their business objectives. Similarly, for me, the most satisfying aspects of working with colleagues are collaborating on projects, sharing knowledge and expertise, and building positive working relationships.

It’s incredibly exciting to see and experience the growth of AAB People and the wider AAB Group. I’m really looking forward to seeing how the business evolves and how I can play a part in their growth.”

BEING FLEXIBLE

“When it comes to my preferred balance between the virtual and more ‘hands-on’ routes to working with clients, for me it really depends on the client’s needs and preferences. Some clients may prefer virtual communication, while others may prefer in person meetings. I think it’s always important to be flexible and adaptable to the client’s needs, while taking due consideration of factors like time, budget, and resources.”

STAYING UP TO DATE

“Navigating legal and regulatory requirements in my field can be challenging, as the laws and regulations governing HR can be complex, and often vary by jurisdiction. As HR professionals we make sure we’re always up to date on the latest changes to the law and we work with legal counsel to ensure compliance.”

SEEKING OUT OF OPPORTUNITIES TO COLLABORATE

“Collaboration is key! We always seek out opportunities to collaborate. It allows for team members to leverage their collective knowledge and expertise, brainstorm new ideas, and provide constructive feedback to one another. Collaboration promotes a sense of shared ownership and accountability for project outcomes, which can lead to increased motivation and engagement. It can also help to build positive working relationships and create a sense of camaraderie among team members, which can enhance job satisfaction and improve overall team performance.”

INNOVATIVE PROBLEM SOLVING

“I would say my greatest strength is my innovative problem solving; I am able to think creativity and approach projects in a different way. I seek out new perspectives and consider multiple options before arriving at a solution. By approaching problems with an open mind and a willingness to experiment, you are able to find innovative solutions that set you apart.”

PROFESSIONALISM

“One of the best compliments that I’ve received from a client was on my professionalism, that I was highly organised, responsive and proactive in my communication with them.”

HR ARE THERE TO HELP

“Honestly, I dislike how HR are perceived as the ‘bad guys.’ At its core, human resources focuses on simplifying policies and procedures, improving communication and transparency, and adapting to the changing needs of employees and the organisation as a whole.”
