Meet the Corporate Tax team
Meet the Tax team
Large corporates. Large groups. Owner-managed businesses. Family Investment Companies. Start-ups.
Corporate tax compliance. Corporate tax advice. Strategic tax planning.
Marketing. Manufacturing. Technology.
Frank is a Corporate Tax Manager based in AAB’s Leeds office, supporting clients with both compliance and advisory needs. He works closely with businesses to manage their corporate tax obligations, preparing and submitting returns, advising on payments, and ensuring deadlines are met. Alongside this, Frank is involved in a wide range of advisory projects, offering practical, tailored tax solutions that help clients tackle complex issues and reach their commercial goals.
With experience across large corporate groups and smaller owner-managed businesses, he takes a hands-on approach that blends technical know-how with a clear understanding of each client’s unique priorities.
“I’m passionate about getting to know my clients beyond the numbers. I prioritise meeting face to face, ideally at their place of business, so I can see how things work on the ground. This helps me tailor my advice more effectively and makes sure I’m a familiar, approachable face for the team.”
“I’ve always had a genuine interest in how businesses operate, and working with clients gives me the chance to explore a wide range of industries and models. The most rewarding part of my role is building strong, trusted relationships and knowing the advice I provide, whether it’s ensuring compliance, identifying tax efficiencies, or supporting commercial decisions, makes a real difference.”
“Within our team, there’s a strong focus on collaboration and sharing knowledge. It helps us deliver better results for clients and supports ongoing development for everyone. I also value the depth of expertise across AAB. Whatever the issue, I know I can draw on our wider network to provide well-informed, high-quality solutions.”
“Tax legislation is always evolving, shaped by changing policies here in the UK and internationally. I stay on top of these developments to make sure the advice I give is always timely, relevant, and accurate, giving clients the confidence to move forward with clarity.”
“My career in corporate tax has been shaped by the balance between technical challenge and real commercial impact. Early on, I saw how effective tax advice could support growth, inform decisions, and help businesses manage risk. That was a key moment for me. It showed me that tax isn’t just about compliance. It’s about helping businesses move forward with confidence.
Working with large corporate groups, owner-managed businesses, and family investment companies has given me a broad perspective. No two businesses are the same. Each has its own pressures, priorities, and risk appetite. Taking the time to understand those differences is central to how I work and how I add value.”
“One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced in my career has been managing increasingly complex workloads while maintaining a consistently high standard of advice. As my responsibilities grew, I quickly realised that technical knowledge alone wasn’t enough. Clear communication, effective prioritisation, and collaboration were just as important.
That experience has shaped how I work today. I focus on being proactive, organised, and approachable. I break complex tax issues down into clear actions, explain options in plain English, and set realistic expectations from the outset. Clients know where they stand and what comes next, which helps build trust and long-term relationships.”
“I’m particularly motivated by advisory work where tax plays a key role in wider commercial decisions. Recently, I worked with a client who was facing uncertainty around the tax treatment of proposed transactions, alongside concerns about potential HMRC challenge. By understanding the commercial drivers behind their plans, I was able to outline clear options, explain the risks and opportunities, and help them move forward with confidence.
Feedback like this really matters to me. One of the best compliments I’ve received is being told that clients value my ability to explain complex tax issues in a clear, practical way and provide advice they can confidently act on. For me, that’s how I know the advice is doing its job.”
“Corporate tax is constantly evolving, shaped by changes in legislation, technology, and the wider economic landscape. I’m committed to continuing to develop my technical expertise while making the most of technology to deliver more efficient, insightful advice for clients.
At the heart of my role is a simple aim. To provide commercially focused advice that works in the real world. Advice that supports businesses, builds confidence, and helps people move forward.”
